Welcome to ICREA International Symposium
The aim of the symposium is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of world-leading scientists to further our understanding on the fundamental molecular mechanisms that govern nanostructures and protein function relationships at the cell membrane. The symposium will cover topics related to the organization of the plasma membrane at the nanoscale, the role of proteins and lipids in signal transduction, and the cortical actin cytoskeleton in organizing and stabilizing membrane domains as well as influencing membrane architecture and signal transduction. We will place a special emphasis on the technologies that are enabling the visualization of membrane nanodomains at unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution.
We would like to invite you to take part in this exciting meeting, which will take place in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, at ICFO – the Institute of Photonic Sciences. Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or poster contributions aligned with one of the following topics:
SUPERRESOLUTION TECHNIQUES: FROM METHODS TO DATA ANALYSIS
LIPIDS, PROTEIN NANOISLANDS AND THE ROLE OF THE CYTOSKELETON
DYNAMICS IN SIGNALLING NANOPLATFORMS
Due to the size of the lecture theatre we will only be able to accept a limited number of participants (~ 150) and we expect the symposium to be significantly oversubscribed. We would therefore like to encourage anyone who is interested to register as soon as possible.
